| no partners | | Already up to 108 degrees, my third and final climb of the day would be a warm one. But no matter, with a stiff breeze and plenty of fluids I was raring to go.
To begin with I followed a mining road up the hill until I arrived at a gate marked no trespassing. Thankfully there was a sign just to the right designating the land behind the sign as Forest Service property, so I skirted the edge of the private property along the way. It turned out just right as the property fence-line made a left turn where I needed to go to reach the summit.
Although slightly longer and more elevation gain than the second peak, I was in-the-zone on this one and I was cruising pretty well. I took plenty of shots of Picketpost before calling it a day and heading back.
That's #6 of 23 peaks (of 300' or greater prominence) left on my list for the Mineral Mountain Quadrangle. Of course there are at least a half-dozen peaks past my capability to climb... even a few past the capabilities of anyone but the craziest professional climbers, or a helicopter drop.
