| no partners | | So far I felt pleased with my day, reaching two of the first four summits on my list. I took a pass on the other two due to the need for more time, effort and/or planning.
Although it was already 103 degrees and climbing, the next up was too easy to leave for another day. So I took a short break to eat my PB&J lunch, take a drink and set off for the summit with nothing but camera and GPS. After being so used to a heavy pack prepared for almost any emergency, it was a breeze to climb free of the encumbrance. But then this was easier terrain as well. As usual, when I hit the 'summit' I realized it was not the true summit, only this time it was only a few hundred feet away. I took a few photos of peaks I'll be climbing soon (and some I'll never climb) along with a 360-pan video and I'm on the way back down.
