| no partners | | The ambitious plan for the day was to summit four peaks in the same general area. The first two (including this one) would make it a clean sweep of the listed peaks in the Grayback Quadrangle as listed on listofjohn (pay $ite).
Knocking out the hardest and longest one first may have made more sense but due to the logistics to get them all in one loop I started with the easiest and shortest. The temperature when I began was 91 degrees and was rose quickly to 95 by the end. The last and hardest climb I'll do 4+ hours later began at 101 and hit 105.
I was a bit surprised I was able to drive as close as I did so it was a very pleasant surprise to reach the summit and return in less than 30 minutes. Good thing, because my planned driving route to the second peak of the day turned out to be a very rough and slow route, only to reach a fenced-off dead-end, which meant for along backtrack and detour. ](https://hikearizona.com/dex2/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
