7:30AM We met and hit the road crammed into a clown car. (Cue the circus music). We were out today to sink a Battleship in the Supes. We hit the trail around 8:20AM.

Making great time we reached the spur trail leading up Battleship. The route begins mild and there is a noticeable trail, but in no way is it a super highway. Within a short time began the crawling up the side. John was sure to snap some great shots of Kyle as he climbed (Ladies (and Chumley) calm down, I am sure John will have the shots up shortly). After a few scrambles and some breath taking exposure (minimal) we reached a point where the trail bottlenecks. Kyle was leading when John and I stopped and heard an unfamiliar sound. Within a few seconds a ram leaped over a gap ten feet in front of us. :o The creature was beautiful and was as nimble as Te-Wa doing a cartwheel. We all pulled out our cameras (like a bunch of tourist at the GC), but he was gone. He leaped over and beyond all the scrambles we had just done.

After sitting there in shock we continued on. At this point there wasn't much else that was going to top this hike. The summit was beautiful and had a great 360 degree few of some of the infamous features in the Supes. We scrambled down and chatted about how amazing the Big Horn Sheep was. We kicked it in high gear and headed out in an attempt to catch some fellow HAZers who were in the neighborhood.

The hike was amazing thanks to the appearance of the Big Horn and for the stunning views atop Battleship.
