| no partners | | This was a quick hike before a flight in the afternoon. It has been almost 10 years since I had been on this trail and a lot changed at the trailhead since then. On the way in I had the trail all to myself I beaconed APRS http://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a ... range=3600 and talked with some friends in Mesa and AJ on 2 meters snapping pictures along the way and enjoyed the beautiful morning. When I arrived at the canyon I dropped my pack and did some boulder hopping, snapped pictures and explored some more. Being on a time schedule I only spend about 20 min in the canyon and then headed back down the trail. On the way out I passed a group of snowbirds and promoted HAZ to them for hiking information. It was a nice way to start the day off. |
