| no partners | | My brother-in-law and his wife came from a frozen Minnesota to thaw out for a week of Arizona sun, and during the visit, they wanted to hike in the Superstitions. Not knowing their hiking abilities, I recommended Hieroglyphic Canyon for it's moderate hike and awesome views. We were the only car at the lot when we departed and although it was a leisurely pace, we were the only ones at the canyon for a long time.
I got a few pictures of Mike and Joan posing at various spots so they could remember what the day was all about once they returned home and are hit with reality once again. Soon the crowds came pouring in and we took our Que and began out trek back to the parking lot, meeting several groups along the way.
Following the hike, I drove them around a bit showing them some more features of the Superstitions and how beautiful the mountain can be when you get up close. I must have done a pretty good job as a tour guide, because once we got back to my park, they wanted to walk around and look at houses that were for sale. And to cap off their vacation, they have tentatively purchased a home in the park Mike still has a couple of years to work, but at least now, he has something to look forward to as that day approaches.
Welcome to Apache Junction, AZ. Mike and Joan the Superstitions are waiting. |

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip. |
