| no partners | | bluff spring mountain summit has been on my wish list
hit peralta trailhead right after work this morning
headed up bluff spring trail
easily found ely-anderson trail just by how wally described it in denny's triplog
had tibber's route loaded just in case but there were plenty of cairns
at the end of the e-a trail, i went too far north and had to cut back west
my return route was more direct
found the high point, the cairn and the ammo box
saw several recent haz members in the summit log: jj, hpp and yeti, boots and 9l
didn't go further back
great views from the summit
fun to look across at weaver's needle, when three weeks ago i looked at bluff springs summit from weaver's needle
wandered off the trail once on the descent, but the whole thing was pretty easy to follow as i could see where i wanted to go
liked hiking on the slick rock
did not liking hiking through those foxtails
was happy to have my tevas in the truck
just did the out and back
saw absolutely no one aside from at the trailhead and then four people coming up a few hundred yards from the parking lot at the end
was on the way down by the time it got warmer
nice morning
i like summits |
