Got to the Lake, and parked up by the Picnic Area...Although it's small, the Lower Parking Lot was full, which is pretty busy for this Lake...
Tied on the Spinner that Larry from Oregon hates and walked down the Lake a bit...6th or 7th cast, and I had one on...Not really was I was expecting to catch up here, but hey, it's a start...
Go around a point and was joined by a Great Blue Heron...He must have been used to the people because he let me get pretty close...And it became almost comical as he watched me catch my limit of Rainbows... It was really tempting to toss him one (I was that close), but decided that he needed to work for his own meals... He ended up leaving in a huff after that...My Photos will illustrate...
The Clouds got pretty dark and then the Lightning started coming in, so it was time to go...After "one more cast" and losing my favorite Spinner on a submerged Rock...
Really fun, relaxing Fishing Day...If I had kept my Catch, it would have been enough for at least 2 nice little Campfire Meals...Next time, when the Fire Restrictions are gone... |
