| no partners | | With August 9th being a "full moon", decided to make my first foray into some night time photography. Noticed the evening forecast predicted a high probability of thunderstorms. Hmmm - lightning photography, never tried that before...
Did some quick research on the internet prior to heading out to South Mountain around 6pm. Goat Hill, Telegraph Pass Saddle, Dobbins Lookout, Gila TV Tower Lookout in the back of my mind for potential photo ops...

My daughter Hannah and I each grabbed a sandwich from Subway to ward off any munchies. Storm clouds surrounded the valley making the sunset a disappointment. As the 19:56 moonrise time approached, there was a significant lightning storm to the south and east. No visible full moonrise, but plenty of lightning to compensate... |
