| no partners | | With Lynn and "desert puppy" Skippy. Did this as a "leg stretcher" on the way up to the Salome Wilderness and Young AZ. This was a 301 mile day trip with a lunch stop in Payson. The recent rains have brought out a variety of fungi reminiscent of our recent trip to Mount Baldy. Datura are in bloom everywhere and even saw a couple of deer along the roadside. Some of the sumach is starting to reveal autumn colours!

I would like to complete the entire trail as a shuttle hike starting from the "Falls" campground near Workman Creek Falls and hiking downhill to the Hwy 288 trail head. Know we'll be back to the area in September to complete Moody Point Trail #140 shuttle hike http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=908. Hope to have enough photos and information to post the hike description.
Stay tuned... |
