| no partners | | With Lynn and "desert puppy" Skippy. First trip into the Salome Wilderness. Saw some of the Hell's Hole Trail #284 and the Boyer Trail #148. We couldn't locate Sierra Ancha Wilderness Trail #55 that appears on the Forest Service wilderness map starting from the Reynold's TH traveling to the summit of McFadden Peak.

We found about a dozen baby Horned Lizards along the route. Once your eyes became tuned to their presence, you'd find them everywhere!
When we completed the round trip to the Reynold's Trail Head near Hwy 288, decided to head into Young AZ for another first... This became a 301 mile day trip with a lunch stop in Payson.
Think Young will merit a return trip to try and match up some of the historic locations to present day appearance. Most of this historic fame is associated with the Pleasant Valley War from the 1880's. I'm sure a good reference exists for this. Guess I'll do a little research to see what I can find!
