This was a trial hike wearing an old pair of heavy boots that used to be pretty comfortable. But, after two miles, same thing as before. My toes and the front pads of my feet started burning, and by 3 miles they were really aching.
So, not sure what to try next. Maybe running shoes. Maybe a doctor or podiatrist, which I can't afford. I have fancy insoles already. Sof-Sole Gel Orthotics for athletic activities. Before that I had Super Feet. Exactly the same result, different shoes.
When I went for about a 2 mile hike wearing Teva Sandals last weekend by Arizona Hot Springs my feet did not ache.
The hike was pretty, since it is spring, and we've had a bit of rain. Very green along the trail, and the chaparral plants are in bloom. |
