| no partners | | After meeting Doug, Karen, and Charlie in Chama for the train ride, it was a short drive down to Abiquiu Reservoir to join them for a night. They had been camping there for several days, enjoying Doug's spacious new 5th wheel. Rona skipped the train ride to stay at the lake and look after the dogs.
There were a few weak showers around that made for nice photos, but it never rained on us. The lake is in a nice setting on the Chama River. Saturday morning I bid farewell and headed south to get a big chunk of driving out of the way on the way back to Arizona. Spent the night at a motel in Deming, so Sunday morning would be an easy finish home. |
