Most folks set out with Charles at 8 o'clock Saturday morning for the big hike down Ash Creek, going past Oak Flat. I headed out around 9 to go as far as the Falls, at a leisurely picture-taking pace. The original route to the slick rock is no longer maintained, so it is very overgrown with lots of deadfall to navigate. Still worth it though, as this is one of the highlights. Took the bypass route on the return to avoid the hassle and made real good time back to camp (beer).
