after kayaking bear canyon lake, decided to check out the trail on the west side
headed to the south end to have lunch in a scenic rock outcropping on a short peninsula
fun trail with great views all along
got to see plenty of aspen again, too
returned the same way, although it is possible to go all the way around the lake
went all the way to the dam, then went up a different trailhead access and back on the roads
getting dark as we finished
enjoyed the day at the lake
on the drive out, saw a spectacular sunset
couldn't get the full effect in the trees, but it was an awesome finish to the day
