wanted a peak today, so john and i came up here to hike in the phoenix sonoran preserve
angela had suggested this area for some easy peaks
first time here, so the plan was to hit the three main peaks and some of the loops
nice area with many of the trails wide enough for two people
pretty windy today
saw some mountain bikers and a few hikers
ended up with a ten mile hike and 2000 feet aeg which was more than either of us expected
nice smooth switchbacks to each of the summits
i liked union peak the best with the little ridgeline
next time will do some of the trails from the apache wash trailhead
well worth a visit, and fun to see a new area
done early enough for some breakfast and football at the brass rail
classy place

*john's haz tracks was .3 miles longer than my 60csx route
aeg was within 50 feet
