I drove up the Swift Trail on this hot June morning, bound for a few of my favorite trails. I hiked up Big Creek Trail under a blazing sun, doing some trail maintenance along the way. After a lunch and cool off break among the corkbark firs, I continued my journey on to a couple of locations that I feel would be unwise to elaborate upon. The first stop was exciting as always. The second location was my first time visiting there. The last leg of my journey was down High Peak Road #507. I took an hour break on a grassy hillside overlooking the Gila Valley on the way down, contemplating a difficult decision. I was spurred on by the late hour and continued back to Big Creek via High Peak Road and the Swift Trail.
