| partners | | Up until now i havent had much experience kayaking but got the hang of it pretty quickly....unlike someone i know humm humm..
To say that kayaking at Lake Powell is a must do is an understatement. The lake has a such a distinct personality than any other lake i have ever experienced before.
Being that we were on kayaks the only thing that annoyed me was the noise from all the boats and jetskis around us....Lucie wasnt too fond of the wakes created by them.
After launching from the public dock we headed over to antelope canyon, we took it easy enjoying the sights around us. After we reached the end of the paddling we proceeded on foot until we calculated to turn around and be back before sunset. This section of Antelope had really cool formations and the lack of hoards of people made it even more special. On our way back we decided that camping food wasnt going to cut it and stopped at Stomboli's Italian Restaurant, I ordered a calzone which was d'lish. After dinner we headed over to our car camp site just west of the lake. The next morning i got up and explored around some of the cool rock formations around us where i found some formations similar to the wave. It was yet another amazing weekend in the backyard! |
