| no partners | | I would have posted a GPS track had I not been giddy with excitement over the tons of New Year's Day snow and forgot to track my hike!
First of all, when I arrived I had to backtrack about a half mile down Chavez Ranch Road to the last intersection to find a legal place to park. Everything was still snowed under and they were plowing the parking areas, so the entry gate was closed. This I did not mind as only the hardy and persistent ones were in the park  And it saved me $$$...
It was gorgeous, and just before the sun started to come out. Every tree was coated with snow, and there was about 6-8" on the ground. Just fantastic. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!
I left when more people started to show up who looked like they were just out for a nice lunch as opposed to being in a proper outfit to hike in snow...I figured the parking lot opened, and I was right... |
