Three Sisters

After catching up with an old friend the other day we both realized that we had never done this peak via the traditional route. We decided to check it off the list and check out the Three Sisters as well. The first 1.8 miles surprised us both. We both regularly cut our teeth on Flatiron and it was shocking as it felt much steeper. It could be a combination of tired legs and such but it really did a number on us. Upon reaching the saddle the rest of the hike seemed quite relaxed in comparison. After reaching the summit and taking a much deserved break we decided to head for the sisters. With that adventure complete we headed back down to what we thought was the trail. A few indecisive moments eventually led to us finding our bearings and starting the slog back to the trailhead. Overall it was a wonderful experience and a great way to end winter break.
