With the slow winter rain falling in the region, I knew I wanted to be out here. I love Peralta Trail and figured it would not be crowded and would be beautiful in the rain. I was correct on both points. I can't remember the last time I was able to park in the upper lot without having to circle - not that I would, that's like waiting for a close parking spot at the gym. Met only a couple of other people on the trail. There was only one guy at Fremont Saddle and he boogied back down the hill when I showed up. The road in was like oatmeal in a couple of places, but passable.
