| partners | | Beautiful hike through a slot canyon with several ladders. We did it as a loop, coming back clockwise from the ridge above the slot canyon. Some of the most diverse and incredible rock formations anywhere. Well worth the fairly long dirt road coming in from Mecca on Painted Canyon Road. Pretty well marked and relatively easy, but the ladders could pose a problem for a few people. Expect several people, especially on weekends, until the temps rise. Best avoid the summer due to high temps.
Our aeg of 776 was a lot less than the official 1700+. I really don't see how it could be that high unless the lost signals caused elevation spikes. The radical spiking in the first 0.6 miles of the official track is just not there. |
