another beautiful day
got out a little earlier for a decent hike in the mcdowell mountains
gateway loop :next:

gateway loop
got going around 7:30
cool temps and a nice breeze
not as crowded as i had feared, with most sticking to gateway loop
did this clockwise even though i don't like going down east end trail
went out to the lookout for stellar views, although it was quite hazy early, eventually burning off
haven't been out here in a few months
i've been missing these kinds of hikes lately, and it felt good to get a couple in the last two days
