| no partners | | After a short hike up Summit Mountain, just south of Williams, I drove south on the Perkinsville Road. I didn't get all the way to Perkinsville, but I sure saw some interesting territory. There are some neat canyons and mesas around there. I am saving it for another day when I have time to camp out. I saw exactly two vehicles: one road bicyclist on the paved part, and one pickup truck on the dirt part.
I have been to Perkinsville before, because that is where they turn the Verde Canyon train around. I rode it as a tourist some years ago.
Distance shown is one way. I GPS'd it on my return trip back to Williams. |
