After enduring the masses at the Narrows, we (the family) took a pit stop along the road through Zion to check out the Canyon Overlook. At the parking area, we immediately were favored with a whole group (herd?) of bighorn sheep--probably about a dozen total, hanging out on the cliffs close by. The short hike up to the overlook was very pleasant with a lot of cool views along the way, plus of course, the "pay off" views of the Canyon Overlook at the destination. Not nearly as crowded as the Narrows, and left us with a more pleasant experience to end our quick run-through of Zion. |
