With the fiance out shopping for "the dress" I was going to go explore something equally impressive (I hoped); a running Massacre Falls. Upon reaching the trailhead parking lot, however, I did not like what I saw. I decided to turn around and head back to the mountain. One of these times I will make it out to when it is running.

Heading up to the basin I made really good time. A combination of frustration (from not hiking what I had originally planned on) and excitement/nervousness (at the proposed dress being found and purchased) lead to rocket fuel being inserted into, well, yea

The water is definitely receding from the mountain rather quickly. The basin actually had dry spots on it now; still slick, but dry spots nonetheless.

Reaching the top I went exploring a little bit on the boulders to the north. I soaked in the views until clouds came lazily up the canyon and covered the mountain.
