| partners | | Got the last parking spot at Meriden TH ( Seems like each year the THs are filling up more which is great to see ) Been up to the Saddle ( I've heard it called Wolverine Pass and Bulldog Saddle, does anyone know if it has a name ?? if not maybe we should christen it and give it a identity since so many people enjoy hiking it ?? ) so many times. Rick wanted to have a little challenge ( and I have never been up to the Peak, just looked at it and said someday ) so up we went to the Peak, was slippery in spots and we thought coming back down would be a little precarious. Got to the top and our GPS showed us at 3155, Rick was happy, but I pointed out that according to the official route we had to still go over to the next Peak. We decided that we were higher then 3125 which made us ok stopping at this point, and if the next peak was the true 3125 we would let the younger or more adventurous hikers make the trip across. The trip down was better then we thought with no trouble at all, we just had to watch where we were planting our foot for the next step... Great Hike  |
