Decided to try a short hike I could finish before things heated up by midday. Left from Meridian trailhead and headed up to Bulldog Saddle, passed one other hiker going the same way. On arriving to the saddle decided to head up to peak 3125, on the way up kept thinking this is not gonna be fun going down , it wasn’t. Steep, loose rocks and plenty of cholla , one section of about 15 to 20 feet had cholla carpeting requiring careful foot placement, pleased to only collect two jumpers along here. Of course a bee had to start buzzing around my head and ears thankfully didn’t bring any friends. Must have finally decided the stinky red flower was no good. I had forgotten I was wearing a red bandanna :D .Good views from 3125 but not sure I’ll do a repeat.Back at the saddle continued on the the loop over to connect to Pass Mountain Trail. Passed by and chatted with a nice couple from Green Bay visiting since a week ago. Uneventful trip back to the lot after a snack break at the saddle. It was warming up by time I returned .
