| no partners | | Although I've hiked this loop and the 3125 summit multiple times I guess I never linked them to my posted triplogs so instead of just going back and adding them I decided to just hike them both again. Trail head to saddle is a nice warmup, I passed a couple small groups of hikers. The hike to the 3125 summit is a fun one for sure, actually a pretty easy climb. Several routes here and there but if you focus on "up" and aim towards the left of the golden rock area you will be fine. Cruised back down to the saddle and continued the 3004 loop. Caught up to a pair of hikers that I passed earlier and they asked if they could follow me since they were unfamiliar with the area. Sure, let's go. Hiked with them until I could give them a bearing on where they would join the Pass Mountain trail and then broke away to resume my normal hiking stride. The hike from the Pass Mountain saddle to the trail head was done in cruise mode, since that isn't my favorite. Was disappointed seeing all the recent litter. I guess some folks have a problem carrying their used tissue 
Other than the litter this was a nice weekday hike. |
