| no partners | | From the parking area for Soap Creek, go upstream, not down toward the river. (See GPS route.) This is a non-technical hike and scramble to a pretty tall trickling waterfall, passing many smaller trickling falls along the way. The tall one is at least 200 feet, I'd say (as tall as Mooney, but very little water coming out of it). I went with the local club that hikes on Fridays.
Fun little hike, then go to Vermilion Cliffs for lunch and a beer. You have to have a beer. If you try to order a Diet Pepsi, Charlie will be quite scornful and she won't even write it down. Similarly if you try to order something like a Corona, she will be equally scornful and refuse to bring it to you--lime or no lime. Order a real beer. And the Charlie's Special sandwich. I am not a beer connoisseur, but at least I didn't order a Corona. I had a Sessions. |
