| partners | | I got an invite from Chumley on this one. Friday evening I met up with Kyle and Lily at the car camping spot near 180 & 119. The wind was howling. Chumley showed up around 10PM, cut down a tree, chopped it up,and got the fire going strong. Saturday morning Chumley drove us all to the trailhead. I Hope the video turned out OK. I tried the steep route on the way down, and not too bad. A quick camp setup and I was headed off upstream to look for fish. I can't believe how much trash is left all along this creek.
It was a long windy day and my camera shot craps on me. Almost back to camp around 6:30PM I managed to catch my one and only fish all day. It was worth waiting for...
Getting back into camp I met John and Claire, their friends, Lee and Jackie, and a bunch of pups. We cooked the fish on the fire and I think all were able to sample. The wind let up a bit at night, but returned strong Sunday morning. The hike out ended by 10:30 and everyone dispersed. Good folks, good times, maybe less wind next time. |
