Stopped in to Tonto creek for an early morning of fishing for stocker rainbows. Found the stream almost empty at about 7AM. Caught four pan sized fish quickly and moved on towards Horton creek. I switched from spinning gear to fly tackle and headed uphill. 100 feet upstream from the first sign of flowing water is a very nice hole containing wild brown trout. Working all of the knee deep or better water I managed to catch and release 3 small browns by the time I reached the large wikieup campsite. The blackberry prospects look very good along this section of the creek. Stopped in to check on the lofted campsite while I was in the area.
