Another winter break hike with the kids, plus Whitney and one of her daughters joined us. We started from Buena Vista around 10am, still a little foggy out, and some light drizzle at the start. Headed east on National to Hidden Valley, took the kids through there--which they always like--and then returned on National. Dodged several bikes while on National, but luckily no kids got run over. At one point, Wyatt asked how much longer, and I said "We're almost there, not much more" to which he immediately replied "No, we're not". Whitney thought it was great that even Wyatt doesn't believe my pep talk lies while hiking. The kids wanted to play in Hidden Valley longer than time today would allow, so I'll have to bring them back soon via Mormon Trail.
