Another day of winter break means another day to get the kids out hiking; Celina & her kids joined in too. We got to Tom's Thumb trailhead just before 9:00, and got started. It was breezier than I was expecting, and the kids were a little cold--especially since there was still a lot of shade in the first half. The kids did pretty well uphill, and we made it to the thumb a little faster than I was expecting we would. We had snack/lunch there while sheltered from the wind, and the kids ran around for a while. Easy hike back down, but the steepness of the trail, along with the gravel-type surface was just enough to where Wyatt held my hand almost the entire way. Another fun day with the kids, hopefully we can get out on a trail again on Thursday if the weather cooperates.
