| partners | | Most of the group went to Circlestone & Mound Mtn on Saturday, but since I'd just been there in April, I opted for something new. I ended up on a 15 mile loop that might have been slightly undersold to me, but was still quite enjoyable.
The views on Reavis Gap Trail were nice, but some of the rocky downhill sections required attention that prevented some of the sightseeing. Campaign Trail was very nice, with some water here and there, and some trees that still had fall color. The bears seem to like Campaign as well, and left plenty of evidence behind. The climb up Fireline was not as bad as I had feared it would be, and seeing about 2 dozen coatimundis made it worth the effort.
We ran into some of our overnight group heading to/from Circlestone, and from there, it was a quick walk back to camp. |
