My seven year old has been begging me to take her on a seven mile hike, and today seemed as good a day as any to get that done. We started from a full Bursera trailhead around 10:00am, and headed up Lost Mine. She took a snack break near the top, then we looked at some of the old mines. We headed east on National, but I decided to skip the side trip up Goat Hill since I figured she would already be getting plenty of AEG for the day. Took a few more breaks, then headed down Pyramid. She was a little tired for the last mile, but kept moving. Lots of people on the trails, and the parking lot was still full when we finished. Fun day with my daughter.
