| no partners | | This is a round trip hike from Canelo Pass to Collins Canyon Pass. About half the elevation gain is on the hike in and the other half obviously on the hike back. Good Views To the North and South along the ridges. The only people on the trail were an occasional Border patrol. The occasional sound of drones overhead could be heard, It was either that or lawn mowers. probably from the Fort Huachuca base. I never saw them but I could hear them. This is a nice hike but the drive from Tucson and then the drive back makes for a long day. Winter to Early Spring is probably the best time of year for this hike otherwise Water is limited to the cattle tanks after Parker Canyon Creek. |
