After rescheduling this one two weeks in a row, Celina and I finally made it out to Picketpost again. There were some thru-hikers at the trailhead when we arrived and they asked if I wouldn't mind carrying out some of their garbage--sure, no problem, I tossed it in the back of my car, and chatted with them for a few minutes.

We got started around 9:00 and it already seemed warm. There were a lot of bees and wasps along the entire trail, but they never seemed to be too interested in us. We took a short break at the top, then headed back down. This is one of those trails (for me) where if I don't hike it fairly often, I tend to forget some of the little twists and turns along the way. We never got off course, but there were a few moments where I had to pause and look around for my next landmark. We finished up just after 1:00 without seeing anybody else the entire day.
