I did a short(ish) loop in McDowell Mountain Park starting from the Horse Staging Area: Escondido, Cinch, Scenic, Pemberton, Shallmo Wash.

Weather was good for this time of the year - mid eighties when I started and nearly ninety when I finished. It felt cooler than I expected it to feel.

When I was done, I drove up to the park office (nature center) to renew my annual pass. I saw two deer behind the building as I pulled up. They left just as soon as I pulled out my camera.
