Jon invited me to a campout he was hosting for some out of town brewer types from New York, so I decided to bring my kayak and explore the lake.

It was at 82% full which is still a nice level for both kayaking and swimming.

The area within a mile or so of the boat ramp is a little bit crowded, but just like most trailheads once you get a short distance away from the start you leave the tourists behind and the real spendor of this lake presents itself in scenery and solitude. It's always a pleasure to kayak up here!
