Hiked in on 18B and inflated our inflatables. Headed a couple miles downstream before returning and exploring upstream. Level might be down a foot from max, it's basically unnoticable, and nice to see it this level after a couple of really low years. SRP started pumping it into the East Verde about three weeks ago (because apparently the Verde system is depleted?) and will continue the regular draw down all summer. Starting from full pool is a good start though.

Apparently people believed the hype and headed for dryer desert locales because we only saw two others on the lake all day -- no campers anywhere along the shore, no motors, no anglers, etc. Odd scene for late May.
