Started where USFS 67 crosses the gulch and headed downstream towards the EV.
Came across some very fresh bear scat and prints as well as what appeared to be remains of an old homestead perhaps linked to the deep mining history this area has.
Not the best room to portage on the sides due to heavy brush so walking down the middle of the creek was the easiest way to travel.
As usual I finished my hike in darkness and this time did not even bother to take my headlamp out, I think i'm turning into a nocturnal animal.
Just call me "Nightcrawler" except don't confuse me with the deranged psychopath Jake Gyllenhaal played in that movie.
