While we were making our push to the Hump summit, we ran in to Todd @toddak coming off the peak... and then again as we were below the Humphrey Saddle, partway back, he was coming up the Summit trail, training for a Colorado trip.
I tried throttling Joe for the climb up to the peak, but after a stop 3 miles in, he was off. I didn't see him again until he was coming off the peak. I needed to get a bite to eat at the Saddle, so Denny went up to find Joe.
I caught back up to them as they were part way back and pushed on to the Summit. I took the obligatory peak shots admiring all the spotty showers in the area.
I made my way down and caught up to the guys about 1/2 way back to the saddle. A bit later during a break, we ran into fellow HAZers @lindaagm and @danielac.
Nice to get to the top of AZ again... I'll be back. |
