We were waiting for the rock to dry off so we could do some via ferrata, so we detoured up to a beautiful waterfall and returned. The starting point is shown as Les Vincendieres partway up the road east off of D902.
Outstanding views in the valley and you can spot two glaciers along the way. Lots of abandoned hamlets along the way, but a few structures looked occupied. Not a hard hike, but reaching the Refuge would be a good day out. We met several people headed up to the Refuge for lunch. Now that's what I call civilized hiking. Not many people but lots of sheep. |
