| no partners | | | Time to head out to the Apache Wash Trailhead and try out some trails that I had not been on yet. The dash thermometer showed a cool 58 degrees when I arrived at the trailhead already moderately busy. Got underway with the rising sun about 6:30. I decided to head out on the Octotillo Trail then I would see what the spirit moved me to do as I went on. I soon got to the intersection with the Ridgeback Trail and I decided that I would head up it for a while and see how things went. The ascent was not too difficult and the trail afforded some great views from time to time. I bypassed the overlook trail and decided to turn around right where you head down on the switchbacks. The loop will have to wait until I am in better shape. As you can see I like to shoot the big views and take in what's at my feet. Case in point the deposits of quartz in various rocks and an awesome spidey web. The weather was great, Hello Fall! The trails got busier as the morning went along which is normal. |
