Saturday morning I made a trip up to Spur Cross with the Jewel of the Creek Preserve in mind. It was a beautiful morning as I got underway about 7am. I did the trail counter clockwise. I enjoyed the views that the trail provided across the creek to the mountains beyond. Then it was down to the creek and across winding up with all of the great looking saguaros on one side. I crossed back over before the Dragonfly trail finished. That's for another time. No flowers, one cactus bloom (other than the saguaro blooms), no birds and the occasional lizard. The last 2 pics of the saguaro blossoms I chanced on during the drive back.
