| no partners | | I parked at the end of Bear Canyon Road where there is enough room for about 8-10 cars. The road is car friendly and parking is FREE. It was 98 degrees to start. The trail heads due north through the wash and then connects with the main trail. There is a water spigot with cool clear water just as the trail begins to follow the creek bed. I saw a few people drinking it, but not sure if it is potable. Several trail runners passed me on the way to Seven Falls. There was a trickle flowing but nice clear pools as well. This is a nice little jaunt I will have to remember for cooler weather. Next time I think I'll skip the first turnoff down to the falls and stay on the main trail for another 1/2 mile, then scramble down the falls, as I later saw a few folks do. |
