| no partners | | Made another mid-week trip to WCC. Warm temps were great but the snakes were out. The water levels continue to fall, but not all crossings are set up to cross with dry feet yet. Made great time to the 4th crossing and pushed on for camp. I missed the turnoff twice before I noticed the tiny cairn under a bush. Probably best to keep it this way or this area will get trashed out...
I followed the creek for another half mile upstream to find the nice large campsite empty. This is a really nice spot!
Thursday, I explored further upstream and found an even better campsite just 1/4 mile away. Next time...
Took the fly rod on this trip which was not the best for such windy conditions. If it's windy enough to blow the hat off your head, it might be too windy for fly fishing. I did manage to catch a few for dinner. I did not see another person on this trip until I returned at the 2nd crossing. The road to bull pen is slowly deteriorating. |
