SUICIDEKING

My 2nd trip this year on this cool hike. I was joined by some hiking buds and a good time was had by all.

For this one, we started at the Massacre Falls/Crosscut T/H and made a b-line to the formations east of the Praying Hands off the Treasure Loop. For the ascent, we opted to hike up the "Waterfall" canyon and then up the ridge to the top.

The hike is steep and rough in many spots. But, it's a very awesome hike. I would rather go up this way than the traditional Siphon Draw path. Taking that trail down, in the shade, was a good idea.

No critters to report, but we did see a good group of fellow hikers up on 5024. That used to be a well kept secret, looks like the secret is out.

I will probably hit this one again before the "oven" starts back up next spring.
