What motivates a group of nine to wake up early to go exercise and freeze? The hike or company are strong candidates.
Battleship beat me today down the balance beam spine. In retrospect backwards may have been the ticket. I didn't expect to conquer the short bomber grip climb and it was fun getting to the spine. Everyone helped, I enjoyed stepping on Denny's back to get up the little five foot pitch.
Turning around I met Kayla and Amanda. We hiked the half mile back to the saddle then had to part ways as they started at First Water.
The New Year's gang returned and we headed down to La Barge box. Which is an underrated destination. Boulder hopping back to Boulder Canyon Trail was scenic as Autumn Foliage keeps delivering magic.
Most of the group rejoined at Carolina's. We shut the place down I tell ya!

| | Very light flow. Huge clear pools certainly won't be going dry anytime soon. | | _____________________
